Baby’s First Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you have a great festive, filled with friends, family and good times!

Up until now, Christmas has given us a fairly major problem – where to go for Christmas dinner. Both parents want us to go to their house, and my wife and I don’t want to spend Christmas apart, so we’ve got into a routine of going year about to each set of parents. That was until now.

Since baby arrived, our priorities are completely different. We are no longer dong things to please others, we are going to do what we want to do,, what’s right for our family.

So, this Christmas we are having Christmas dinner at our house, and have invited everyone along ours. That seemed the fairest way for everyone to get to spend time with baby for his first Christmas.

It has been such a good day surrounded by family. There’s been a lot of laughs, food and drink. The little guy has been spoilt rotten with all the toys and clothes he got. I made the dinner and it turned out fairly edible, which is a result in my eyes. I was also trying to capture as much of the day as I could with photos and video so we can look back on his first Christmas.

I can’t wait for the next few Christmases when he is a bit older and knows about Santa. The house will be buzzing with excitement, full of toys and who knows, maybe even a little brother or sister at some point.
